Intake form

By proceeding with the intake form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Violet Co Legal & Consulting will use this information to assess your matter and determine whether we are able to assist you.

No solicitor-client relationship

Completing this intake form does not create a solicitor-client relationship. That relationship is only established once Violet Co Legal & Consulting has accepted your matter and you have received a formal engagement letter.

Confidentiality

Your information will be handled with the utmost care and confidentiality. We are committed to your safety and wellbeing throughout this process.

Fees

No fee is charged for completing this intake form. No fee is charged for assessing whether or not Violet Co can support you in your matter and take you on as a client.

If Violet Co is able to assist you we will arrange an initial consultation where we can explore your circumstances in more detail and accept your instructions to proceed to provide legal services to you. A fee will be charged for this initial consultation. You will be advised of the exact amount before your consultation is confirmed.

If Violet Co receives instructions from you to assist you in your matter, fees for ongoing legal services will be set out in a formal Costs Agreement. You will have the opportunity to review and agree to all costs before any work commences.

Pro bono & Justice Fund

Violet Co is committed to access to justice. We are a privately owned legal practice. We are not funded by government to provide free legal services. When we provide pro bono (free) legal services — we are funding this directly from our profits.

We are a signatory to the National Pro Bono Target and annually exceed this target. Additionally, we are a certified social enterprise and are committed to ensuring that our profits are returned to the community — we do this through our pro bono and justice fund and our law reform advocacy.

Pro bono and reduced-fee arrangements may be available in appropriate circumstances. Eligibility is assessed individually by our team.
